The Dark Artifices is a trilogy, the third installment of the Shadowhunter Chronicles (five are planned.) It takes place five years after the end of the Mortal Instruments, and centers around Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn, who were introduced in City of Heavenly Fire.
